Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell has been a chef and television host in America and a teacher at Institute of Culinary Education. Anne W. Burrell is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for the Food Network, as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host who has spiky blond wigs and a pumped-up persona, shows how to cook restaurant-style dishes at home, using easy methods. Chef Burrell is also a part of some of New York's top restaurants, has been studying Italian cuisine and its traditions, and was a contestant on Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a youngster, growing up in New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America is where she enrolled after earning an English diploma and Communications diploma from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute that I was a student in The Culinary Institute of America she states. I couldn't learn enough couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy she gained a profound appreciation and understanding of Italian culinary and cultural traditions. This is a huge influence on the way she prepares her food. Burrell has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens the lives of children facing difficulties. She also serves as a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she is an advocate for juvenile diabetes awareness. As a speaker, Burrell is on the road to talk about her love of food as well as her career in the culinary field. Anne said she felt lucky that I could share her true passion with other people.
